1914--started developing his yodeling technique

1923--moved to Calgary, Alberta where he performed in bunkhouses, camps, house parties, and dances

1930--debuted on radio station CFCN in Calgary (Canada)

1932--sang as a trail rider for the Canadian Pacific Railway treks in the Canadian Rockies

1933--first record for RCA Victor "Swiss Moonlight Lullaby" featuring his famous echo yodeling; also released "The Capture of Albert Johnson"

1933--invited by the Canadian Pacific Railway to perform on the first voyage of the S.S. Empress of Britain

1934--went to NY to audition at the studios of NBC and CBS

1935--joined the Columbia Networks over WABC in New York City

1953--began touring as "The Family Show With the Folks You Know" with his daughters as back-up singers and dancers

1964--performed for the first time at the Calgary Stampede's Grandstand Show

1988--ended his recording career due to poor hearing

1975--RCA Records\for accumulated sales of over 40 years
