Freddie Hart

Freddie Hart is remarkable as a songwriter in that his works span more than three decades of Country-music history. The Alabama native became the first songwriter in history to win the CMA Song of the Year award two years running when “Easy Loving” took home that prize in both 1971 and 1972. It was also the ACM’s Song and Single of the Year in 1971. Freddie initially made his mark on Music Row as a writer for others. He recorded for more than a decade before breaking through as an artist in the 1970s.
