Biography

Steve Edward Nelson was born in New York, N.Y., on Nov. 24, 1907. He is chiefly known as a composer of country, children's and holiday songs. His chief collaborators were Johnny Burke, Bob Hilliard, Jack Rollins, Benny Davis and Charlie Tobias. He got his education at Evander Childs High School, then New York University.
